WINTER CAMPING INFORMATION: The Cowan Lake State Park campground will remain open during the off-season. Limited campsites will be available on a walk-in basis (no reservations) from 11/1/16 to 4/1/17. The shower house and water will be closed during this time. The dump station will remain open. Please follow the self-registration instructions located on the side of the camp office upon arrival. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. All pets must be on a six-foot leash at all times while in the campground. No pet may be left unattended. Maximum of two pets per site. ACTIVITIES: Cowan Lake offers a variety of activities including bicycling, fishing, hiking, swimming, picnicking, and boating. The campground commissary offers bicycle rentals. South Shore Marina offers boats, canoes, and motors for rent. Our Park Naturalist offers weekly (during season) recreation programs including free canoeing and archery. |
